TV Stand & Record Cabinet

A long time ago I came up with the idea to make simple (indestructible) easy to build furniture from oak veneer plywood, black iron pipe & fittings and aluminum bar stock; all materials available at your local Home Depot.

TV Stand

This was built several years ago to accommodate a large tube TV and incorporates a large pull out bin (on casters) below, which at the time was used to store all of my son’s toys when the Living Room needed to be cleaned up quickly. Today the stand works well for a flat panel TV and the bin is great for general storage.

Record Cabinet

Recently I built this cabinet to keep a small collection of records in the Living Room (yes some people still listen to LP’s). Prior to building I did a quick sketch just to formulate the basic concept and a material list.
